The Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan today saluted Nigeria’s no. 1 police officer, acting IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun as he adds another year this Monday 4th September 2023. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun took the reins of leadership of Nigeria Police Force when the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose him for the no. 1 policing job in June 2023.
Describing Egbetokun as a scholarly, effective, and amiable administrator in his birthday tribute with Trek Africa Newspaper, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan recounted that IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has shown excellence and commitment to preserving the internal security of the country in his policing career. Deservedly, Ogunsan says he has reached the pinnacle of career in the Nigeria Police Force. ‘I salute our effective leader and excellent officer, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun on this special day of his. When we have the opportunity to see the brightness of a New Year, it is a Grace and privilege that we must be thankful for.’
‘In less than three months of assuming office, the acting IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has embarked on far-reaching reforms which have come to stay for good. He has backed his words with immediate actions and we can feel a breath of fresh air in terms of reduced crime rate in our communities, satisfaction among the officers and rank and file of the Nigeria Police Force.’
‘Egbetokun has brought smiles to faces of officers. I relate with policemen very well so I know. If you deserve commendation and promotion, there is no back and forth around him and has ensured that round pegs get into round holes. His coming is a blessing to the Force.’
‘It also gives me pleasure that he has, by far, put the issues of gender balance in the Force on his priority list. This is why we have seen the highest number of female CPs ever manning States commands and other tactical units of the Force’, Ogunsan shared with Trek Africa Newspaper.
‘I must also add that our IGP is a brainy and erudite scholar. It is reflecting in his leadership and policing style. I pray for IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun that God will grant him peace, life, and wellbeing. This new year will be noted for good in his life, career, and family.’
